At Maurizio Pellizzoni Ltd we offer a boutique service built on close relationships with our clients. Once we have agreed a common vision for a project, we oversee every aspect of the design process, from acquiring planning approval, to hiring and managing the right team of specialists, to the positioning of the final vase of flowers.
Increasingly, we are asked to design bespoke furniture and carpentry for our spaces and Maurizio works with expert craftsmen to create one-off, custom-made pieces. Our clients range from private homeowners to hoteliers, retailers and property developers and we also visually curate corporate events and special occasions. Maurizio spent almost a decade working as part of the creative team at Ralph Lauren Home where he perfected his talent for visual merchandising - a service we also offer through styling, set design and window dressing.
Over the years, Maurizio Pellizzoni has created interiors for a range of properties and clients, from traditional family homes to contemporary city lofts. The end result is always a product of our client’s needs, but the Maurizio Pellizzoni aesthetic, which emphasizes contemporary elegance, determines everything we do. We like to use bespoke, one-off pieces to personalise a project and are currently expanding the Maurizio Pellizzoni range of furniture and accessories. Dark woods, leathers natural fabrics and stone are signature elements. They conjure the luxury and comfort that lies at the heart of all Maurizio Pellizzoni’s designs and can be adapted in any colour or finish to suit a client’s needs.
Styling is one of Maurizio’s passions. In addition to reworking the bricks and mortar of a space, he will address every last detail, from cushions to flowers to tableware. Maurizio Pellizzoni will also track down rare antiques, textiles and fine art, and will incorporate treasured family heirlooms into a space. Before turning to interiors, Maurizio worked in fashion and is expert at using soft furnishings and textures to create soft, layered rooms which can be easily adapted to seasonal changes.
During his years at Ralph Lauren, where he oversaw Home Collections across Europe, Maurizio dreamed up and styled many different ‘lifestyles’. If you are hosting a corporate event, or organizing a special occasion, Maurizio Pellizzoni will come up with a visual theme and see it through to completion. Recent projects include creating a winter wonderland in the Kensington Orangery and a Federico Fellini-inspired wedding reception at The Arts Club in Dover Street.
Maurizio spent many years creating dramatic windows and room sets at Ralph Lauren. He understands only too well the power of visual merchandising. His skill at accessorising and harmonising every detail of a scene enables him to conjure up striking window displays and well-dressed sets that create maximum visual impact and capture the essence of a brand.
At Maurizio Pellizzoni we know what makes a great home, and we’re as comfortable tackling an entire rebuild as we are with a minor makeover. Whether you’re new to design or whether you know your Fendi from your Fornasetti, Maurizio Pellizzoni will guide you through the entire design process. Maurizio’s vast contacts book enables him to source exactly what every room requires, and he likes nothing more than scouting out design fairs and antique markets with his clients to find the perfect piece. And if he can’t buy it, we’ll make it.
Maurizio likens many of the guest bedrooms in his residential projects to those of boutique hotels. They certainly both share similar levels of luxury and comfort, and create an atmosphere of home away from home. Maurizio Pellizzoni has worked on a number of commercial properties, and last year the Maurizio Pellizzoni studio won best Office Space at the International Hotel & Property Awards. The conversion of what was a dreary commercial space into a prize-winning one is an example of how we create interiors that get to the essence of a brand, no matter what it is.
Over the years, Maurizio Pellizzoni has worked with a number of developers on luxury properties that benefit from our international, polished look. The Maurizio Pellizzoni aesthetic crosses geographical boundaries and we are careful to create interiors that will stand the test of time. To this end, we opt for classic, universally loved pieces and luxurious, durable fabrics and soft furnishings. All the properties we work on are in prime locations and at Maurizio Pellizzoni we know how to present them with all the finishing touches, ready for sale or rental. And we understand very well that a delivery on budget and on time is the key to the financial viability of an investment operation.
We meet our client on site for a first consultation, which is free of charge. Here we discuss the brief, the budget and timescales.
Once we have agreed on what the client wants and signed the contract, we work on initial concepts, which we send over for feedback and approval before moving on to more detailed designs.
Work begins on detailed construction drawings and layouts. This may involve further site visits in order to take measurements and review the space in more detail. We present our clients with mood boards until they are satisfied with the design and we seek quotations from contractors before construction starts. Please note that costs for planning applications, fees for drawings from structural engineers, 3D visualizations and specific lighting and audio design are quoted separately and not included in our fee.
Once the paperwork is in place, construction begins. Maurizio's team conducts regular site visits and manages the contractors for the duration of the project. We provide the client with budget, timing and progress updates and seek client approval every step of the way. We also oversee the resolution of final snagging.
Working to the agreed design and budget, Maurizio's team will purchase all furniture, fabrics, fixtures and fittings.
When all the contractors have finished and departed, we organise and check all deliveries, and install all the furniture and accessories.
