As seen in the TV show "Gossip Girl"
Prada Marfa is a permanently installed sculpture by artists Elmgreen and Dragset, situated 1.4 mi northwest of Valentine, Texas, just off U.S. Route 90, and about 37 mi northwest of the city of Marfa. The installation was inaugurated on October 1, 2005. The artists called the work a "pop architectural land art project." The Prada Marfa Sign regained popularity as a centrepiece of an Upper-East Side penthouse in the TV series Gossip Girl.
The frame is by John Jones who first entered into the fine art industry during the 1960’s, when he quickly discovered that he had an aptitude for making high quality bespoke picture frames to order. It was not long before he was working on professional art framing for creative individuals such as Francis Bacon and David Hockney, designing and producing museum standard frames specifically to complement their artwork.
